Life Safety Enterprises, Inc. provides superior firestop and repair services in accordance with NFPA, FM and Underwriters Laboratory standards. Our firestop experts are licensed and certified to perform all types of firestop solutions to remediate deficiencies in rated walls, or properly install firestop products on new constructions. Our Field Technicians are Hilti certified installers and Fit I & Fit II certified through Specified Technologies, Inc.
Firestop products, when properly installed, effectively ensure the safety of millions of patients, employees, and visitors in healthcare & manufacturing facilities around the world. Any and all openings including penetrations, wall to wall joint gaps, and head of wall joint gaps can compromise the integrity of a rated barrier. These deficiencies could jeopardize occupants' safety at any given time should a fire occur. We use specific tested systems and the highest quality products available on the market to restore the Fire & Smoke ratings of any barrier walls to guarantee safety throughout healthcare facilities.
Barrier Management Program - Since healthcare facilities are constantly changing, maintenance of rated barriers is of the upmost importance. Life Safety Enterprises Inc. offers our highly appraised Barrier Management Program to ensure that any and all rated barriers are constantly code compliant by performing annual Fire & Smoke wall inspections (as per NFPA requirement). But we don't stop at firestopping, because a compliant barrier may include everything from walls to dampers, rated doors, fire extinguishers, egress lighing, and more. Let Life Safety Enterprises Inc. be part of your compliance and life safety team.
Photoluminescent Egress - The 2009 International Building Code (IBC) and 2009 International Fire Code (IFC) require luminous egress path markings in all assembly, business, education, institutional/hospital, mercantile and hotel/motel buildings having occupied floors located more than 75 feet above the lowest level of fire department access. Per Section 1024 in the 2009 IBC and Section 4604.2 in the 2009 IFC, luminous markings are required in all exit enclosures on the steps, landings, handrails, as perimeter demarcation lines, on obstacles, and doors from exit enclosures. Since 2012, Life Safety Enterprises Inc. has been a certified installer of Permalight Photoluminescent Egress Path Markings.
